Can I upgrade at anytime? Are there any fees to upgrade? Will there be a setup fee issued?
Yes. you can upgrade at any time free of charge, just send an email to upgrade@bwwebhosting.com and let them know you want to upgrade. You will not get charged a fee if you upgrade and there is no set up fees, EVER!  You will be responsible for the price difference in plans.

Can I try your system before deciding?
When you sign up, you get your first month free, if you're not satisfied, just cancel.  We also offer a 30 day money back guarantee, so even after the 2nd month, your not satisfied, cancel.  We're pretty confident that you'll be happy with out hosting service.

My reason for using BW Hosting could rely on how truly easy using SiteZen is.  Can I try SiteZen first before I sign up for your hosting service?

Ok, I've decided to buy one of your hosting plans, now what?  What happens next?
When you click the Sign Up button on the plan, you will go to our checkout system and enter your information.  Once you've done this and click submit, depending on which gateway you chose, will process your payment information.  At that point, our system will set up your account on the server and then send you a confirmation email with all of the instructions on how to access your web space, set up your emails and upload your site.  If you didn't register your domain with us, then you will have to contact the company you bought or registered your domain name with (example: Tucows or Network Solutions) and have them change your DNS entries to our Nameservers.  Usually, you can do this yourself if they gave you control panel access when you signed up.  If not, sometimes a simple email will do.  Once this is done, it takes about 3 days for your domain to propagate to our servers (usually it takes 1 day).

Can I register my domain with you?
Yes! Click here...all domain names are $15 per year!

Can I transfer my domain to BW Hosting?
Yes you can.  Just click on the Domains link and then click on the
"Transfer your Domain" link.  All transfers are $15 and you will get
a one year extension on your domain name.

If I register my domain name with you, do I have to use you for hosting?
Absolutely not!  Though we would like to host your site and we know we can offer competitive
pricing and unparalleled support, we know we can't be everyone's price!

Can I host adult related sites?
Yes, we allow adult content as long as it abides by local laws, no child pornography of any kind is tolerated! You will be terminated without a refund and will get reported to the proper agencies! We do not tolerate it at all.  Contact us if you have any questions about it.

I already have a domain, can I use it with your hosting? what are the steps?
Yes, this is usually the easiest and quickest way for us to get you up and running.  Once you have purchased your plan, and we have setup your account, all you have to do is go to where you registered your domain and change the DNS entries to our nameservers.  Our nameservers are ns1.bendysworld.com and ns2.bendysworld.com.  Then you have to wait until your domain propagates through the internet which usually takes about 1 day but can take up to 3 days.  If you transfer your domain to us, for the price of transferring ($15), you'll get another year from that date.

Can I access my account before my domain name propagates?
Yes, we will give you instructions on how to access your control panel, how to ftp to your account, and where to see your account until it propagates to your domain name.

Do you offer Windows based hosting plans?
Not yet, we believe the Linux system is more secure and able to offer more options.  Because of the licensing of a Windows server, to give you the same feature rich options would be cost prohibitive.  You can, however, use Frontpage, just install the extensions from your cPanel.  We will be looking into in the near future.

I'm a complete newbie in regards to installing scripts, can you do it for me?
Yes, but we do offer Fantastico which will install most popular scripts on the internet.  We can install custom scripts or cgi scripts but there is a $25 per hour charge.  

Do you offer any kind of design help?  Can you design a site for me?
Yes we can!  We have staff on hand that can handle all design aspects.  We can design you a site and help you with your design.  We charge $25 per hour depending on the difficulty of what you want.

Do you offer Bandwith or Web Space Upgrades?
Yes, Bandwith per GB is an additional $1 per month and Web Space is sold in 100 MB increments at a $1 per month.  Just contact sales@bwwebhosting.com and they will be happy
to take care of it for you.

Billing:

Do you only offer payment through Paypal?
No, we now offer payment through 2checkout.com and Paypal.  Both of which are safe and secure. 2Checkout.com is an authorized retailer of BW Hosting.

How soon after I pay through Paypal can I expect to be setup?
Your account should be set up instantly unless we have problem processing your credit card. Then your account will be setup within 1-4 hours.  Once you receive your "Account Setup" email, you can access your cPanel immediately.  Domain name propagation can take up to 3 days.

I don't have credit card. Can I do a wire transfer, check or money order?
Yes, however if you pay by money order, the hosting plan must be prepaid for the year. It is not feasible to accept money orders for only a few dollars every month. What will happen when my site go over the data transfer limit?
The system has the capability to block sites that exceed their data transfer limit. So be sure to pick a plan that will support the bandwith that will suit your needs.  You can always buy add-on bandwith along with add-on webspace.  Email sales@bwwebhosting.com, and they will get you setup.

My Account:

Can I have more than one domain pointed to my account?
Yes, we offer at least one additional domain on every plan.

Do you support subdomains?
Yes, we support subdomains. All of our plans allow unlimited subdomains and you can set those up in your cPanel.

What is a  subdomain?
A subdomain is any term you want before your domain. For example you have a domain www.x.com and say you want to create a forum. You can create a subdomain forum.x.com and it can be like a whole separate site dedicated to a forum. In essence it is a domain as well. So  it is a very nice feature to have.

Can I password protect directories?
Yes you can password protect folders in your account without having to deal with the hassle of .htaccess. To password protect a directory in your site, log in to cPanel. From there, click on the button labeled Web Protect Directories.
You'll soon see the folder structure of your current web site (you will only see folders, no files). This will be displayed with several folder icons (pictures of a folder) along with the name of the folder (displayed to the right of the folder icon). THESE ARE TWO SEPARATE LINKS (icon and name).

First you will need to navigate to the folder you wish to password protect. If your folder is located within a folder, simply click on the folder ICON to help you navigate in and out of folders.

Once you have decided on a folder, then click on the TITLE of the folder (NOT the folder icon) and a properties menu will appear on a new page.

Configure the properties in this menu by checking the checkbox (to activate or uncheck to de-activate). CAUTION: THIS WILL LOCK ALL FILES AND FOLDERS WITHIN THIS DIRECTORY. You would then choose a name for this locked page (this will appear as the title of the password prompt your users will see; ex: "This page is for staff only!"). Once complete, click on SAVE and the lock will be activated.

Finally, you will need to establish which users you wish to have access to this directory, and then you're all set! No sweat!  Any problems email us at

What DNS should my domain name point to?
Your activation email will have these but they are ns1.bendysworld.com and ns2.bendysworld.com.

How do I enable SSI in my HTML pages?
To take advantage of Server Side Includes(SSI) in your web page, make sure the web page has the extension .SHTML and not .HTML

How Do I access my website control panel?
cPanel may be accessed at http://www.yoursite.com/cpanel or http://66.194.40.39:2082

What is a subdomain?
A subdomain resides under your top level domain, for
for example: http://me.mydomain.com.  The "me" represents
your subdomain.

Can I access my database using phpMyAdmin?
Yes, it's already installed and you can access it through your cPanel.  You will have to create
your databases through the MySQL section of cPanel.
